Julklapp?

Julklappen från Mario Draghi kan ha kickstartat ett jullrally. ECB har minskat säkerhetskraven för lån och har nu lånat ut 489,2 miljarder euro (1000 miljarder kronor mer än Sveriges BNP) till 523 banker. I praktiken innebär det att bankerna kan låna billigt från ECB för att köpa statsobligationer med hög ränta från skuldkrisländerna. Om det sedan går bra, kan bankfolket klappa sig på bröstet och ta ut "prestationsbaserad" bonus. Men om det inte går bra, står vi, skattebetalarna, där och stöttar upp dem med fler krispaket.

Detta är en present från Draghi till de närmsta vänner och kollegor (som säkert gjort sitt för att han skulle hamna just i den position där han sitter), han gör precis samma sak som Ben Bernanke gjort via kvantitativa lättnader, dvs. förflyttat kapital från medelklassen till de besuttna.
Att börsen stiger beror inte på att de gjorde rätt, utan på att denna policy är börspositiv. Att en grupp centralplanerare delar ut pengar - som inte ens är deras egna - till områden som privata entreprenörer knappt tar i med tång, kan knappast leda till ökad produktivitet. Det handlar inte om att rädda något, utan att roffa åt sig så mycket som möjligt innan den som blir bestulen upptäcker stölden.

So with printing from the ECB, printing from the Fed, printing from the IMF, the Treasury shorting the dollar and the currency wars in full swing, how can this mean anything other than the price of gold going up a lot.

Global food control

The God-given human right to freely cultivate food is under attack in New Zealand (NZ) as special interest groups and others are currently attempting to push a "food security" bill through the nation's parliament that will strip individuals of their right to grow food, save seeds, and even share the fruits of their labor with friends and family members.

In accordance with the World Trade Organization's (WTO) Codex Alimentarius scheme for global food control, the NZ Food Bill, if passed, will essentially transfer primary control of food from individuals to corporations under the guise of food safety. And unless massive public outcry and awakened consciences within the NZ government are able to put a stop to it, the bill could become law very soon.
